Sirens

I began to play with Photoshop in 2004 while editing some images of my husband, Michael Hermesh’s sculpture. I would often take photographs of models in various positions for his sculpture. In that collection of pictures were photos I took of Michael wearing a military-issue gas mask that he had found in an old residence in Vancouver many years ago. He wore the mask and had me take photos he could use while working on his sculpture called “The Rapture (Frank Gets Raptured), ” now available as a bronze. Eventually, I played with those photographs, and they became the “Sirens” series of montages. Since then, I have gone on to do many montages for various shows I have participated in.
